Sound City is a documentary film, directed and produced by Dave Grohl in his directorial debut, about the old days of recording studio Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, where the tracks like Nevermind of Nirvana was recorded. Nirvana recorded the album Nevermind at this studio in 1991. The drummer of this band Dave Grohl was inspired to make the documentary after he brought many items from the studio, counting the Neve 8028 analog mixture console, when the studio in 2011.
