The customers who are using Comcast service are not able to access HBO Go. They were screwed last years as well, and now, the issue is back. It is not sure as to when they would access HBO Go, but it doesn’t seem to appear anytime soon.
Great news for HBO Go subscribers. They can now access this app on PlayStation 4. But, there is a catch; the app can only be accessed if they have Comcast. So, if people are using a cable service, then they can’t use HBO Go, which is HBO streaming service until they change that cable service to Comcast. Cable services are not supporting Comcast, and there is nothing confirmed as to when it would happen.
Comcast has sent an email to one of the top electronics and IT news firm confirming the news that the customers will not have access to HBO Go on PS4. Even HBO Go help and support can provide any assistance regarding this.
The current scenario is that Comcast customers are unable to go beyond the activation process. The only way of watching HBO Go through PS4 is by authenticating their subscriptions. For that, they will have to use their cable login credentials. There is nothing to worry about this process, as it is similar to what they were doing at the time of logging into HBOGo com activate on their PCs.
There is a certain process that occurs when people go to select their HBO activate provider where Comcast is not on the list. Here is what happens:
Comcast subscribers have received Home Box Office goodies like everyone else, but this isn’t the first time that they have received it. Last year in December, HBO Go launched the same program on Amazon Fire TV, but Comcast customers were kept away from that program. People also consulted HBO support but got no information from there.
There was some news where it was said that Comcast was in a process of negotiating with the Fire TV so that its customers can access things on Fire TV. Those negotiations are still under process. If Comcast customers want to enjoy HBO Go app, then they will have to buy Roku devices because only Roku Tv is supporting that app. Just perform HBO Go activate process, and it becomes ready.
People only know what they are missing out on. They don’t know what is happening behind the scenes. There is some serious politics going on that is barring Comcast users from getting the same features that other people are accessing with ease. If we think it from the customers’ perspective, then the whole situation turns out to be pretty lame.
It is quite justified to pay for the cable service when people are getting HBO Go activate the device on their television sets. With the launch of cable-free HBO option, the only reason for people to bother about is the channels related to sports. If that can be fixed, then things will fall back to its respective place
